Dr Ruey-Hwa Chen

Dr. Ruey-Hwa Chen earned Ph.D. at Michigan State University and was a postdoctoral fellow at University of California San Francisco. She is currently a Distinguished Research Fellow at Institute of Biological Chemistry, Academia Sinica, Taiwan and the President of International Federation for Cell Biology. Dr. Chen has focused on the roles of protein ubiquitination in cancer progression and autophagy regulation. Her recent focuses include the role of ubiquitin in phase separation and regulation of cell metabolism by biomolecular condensates. Dr. Chen has received a number of awards, including Taiwan Outstanding Women in Science and Biology Award from The World Academy of Sciences
